CCIE R&S v5 Exam Review on 08 February 2015 No ratings yet.

Hi guys,i just want to share with you my experience today in passing my ccie r&s lab. This forum has helped me so much in my preparation so i feel obliged to help the community as well.TS:
– most items same with TS1.2
– remarkable things for me:
– ticket 1 switching: beware of mac address configured on interface used as client identifier. confusing at first. this will be used instead of built-in interface mac address
– ticket 8 mpls: check the ospf routing between r4 and r6. make the e2/0 int (the one facing r12) ospf passive so that the mpls will be working between them via r1
– ticket 9 dmvpn: beware of the extra nat configured on r23. remove the isakmp is natted on the outisde interface which is the reason why dmvpn is not functioningDIAG: same as simon
Config:- i got the rstp
– without vrf
– i configured mpls ldp autoconfig as cisco instruction of quick configuration using copy paste
– ip flow is tunnel egress with top 10Tips/Word of advice
– strongly recommend to practice once in a while the lab via remote. (ex. iou runs on a remote server/pc then connect via teamviewer). this is to simulate the “latency” being experienced during the lab (latency around 1-2 sec). this is a big factor for me as i sometimes mistyped the commands due to this latency

– consistently practice the present and past labs

– bring chocolates on the lab. for energy booster

you can do this for sure. Just keep the faith and believe in yourself
