CCIE R&S v5 Exam Review on 22 October2015
Very happy to inform you all that I have passed R&S Lab last week, This forum is really awesome so are the people who are always ready to help.
I am sharing details here:
TS Section: I was able to complete this within 2.30 hours with proper checks and fail over tests.
Diag Section: I feel that i did all 3 three correct.
Config: very straight forward, only 1 or 2 points changed from the material discussed here in forum.
Details of TS:
i- sw2 interface connected to host was in wrong VLAN. ii- int vlan 100 was not advertised in OSPF.
i- R17 was configured with chap callout. ii- telnet not allowed in line vty. iii- ppp ipcp was missing.
i- max-lsa was configured either on R3 or on R5 (sorry i forgot the device). ii- I also removed passive interface but from which device i didn’t remember (really sorry for this)
i- Delay 1000 command on R13. ii- passive interface on R12 towards R14.
No ACL, prefix-list or offset-list was there to deny any prefix or change the metric.
TS5: out of 4 traces required, only 2 were taking wrong path,
i- For internet prefix 194.x.x.x, I made changes on R21 prefix-list to influence the LP towards R3-R5.
ii- For 134.x.x.x prefix MED is changed on R4 to have both routes installed in R12 routing table.
i- Changed next-hop on R25 to the correct one. ii- IPv6 Network advertisement on Internet router.
i- nhrp authentication wrong on R18. ii- ip map multicast wrongly configured on R19. iii- WAN interface redistributed on R15.
i- no default route originated on R7. ii- ip nat outside missing. iii- ospf wrongly redistributed on R8 & R7 as for from Hub to spoke traffic it was making R8 primary. iv- path was wrongly preferred between R4-R6.
i- crypto pre-share key was wrong on R24. ii- no default route on R7
i- “ip nat outside source …” command on R23… changed to “ip nat inside source…” ii- transport input telnet was missing on NAS router.
Details of Diag:
Tkt1: Port security issue. Interface was down-down.
Tkt2: R15 .. route-map missing on redistribute connected in EIGRP
Tkt3: i. Asymmetric routing with Unicast RPF. ii- took some time to arrange the points in right order (please read carefully while doing the same)
strongest Authentication in EIGRP As 45678
BGP in vrf to build the tunnel, so need to use command “tunnel vrf vrf-name” on tunnel interfaces
